Love is greater than the grave. The body dies but the spirit lives on. The spiritual union between two lovers does not have to be seen as being disrupted when one dies before the other. The lover "left behind" can wage a battle against "dead and gone" and find a surprising, new world of "alive and here." If one believes human beings are spiritual beings who survive the death of the body, one can also believe those surviving spiritual beings delight to commune with their loved ones who still are
