The poems of We Find Each Other in the Darkness take inspiration from the Imagist tradition of Ezra Pound and William Carlos Williams. These poems emphasize an unraveling of localized places, such as the urbanization of Jackson, the rural Mississippi Delta, and the ecologically fragile Gulf Coast, through surreal and magically real points of view.
