NICHOLAS BAMI MICHAEL GODWIN was born in Freetown, Sierra Leone and started writing poetry at an early age. His first published poem was in the School Magazine of his high school in Freetown, The Albert Academy. He was also once a regular contributor to the Poets' Corner of the "For DI People" newspaper, also in Freetown.
