Studies in Turkish as a Heritage Language

Drawing on a larger linguistic ethnographic project (Erduyan, 2019), this chapter focuses on the incorporation of urban, Turkey-Turkish speech style into the Turkish heritage language classroom discourse in the context of Germany. Adopting a microethnographic framework through scalar lenses, the analyses center on naturally occurring word search sessions in two different Turkish classes.
