Patrick Yay's official name is Dr. Maung Maung Yay but he is generally know as Patrick. He was born on the day when the British and allies invaded Normandy each on the D Day the 6th of June in Rangoon, Myanmar (Burma). He graduated in medicine in 1968 and in Double History and Philosophy in 1969.He practiced medicine as a Paediatric Surgeon until he left the country for 8 years. He started painting in 1975 till today. He lived there until 1977 under the brutal military regime of General Ne Win,
