Soul Separation

I have read many supernatural and horror novels. To be honest, apart from those about tomb raiding, all the others I have read are too conventional. What is conventional? The wandering or extinction of the soul after death; reincarnation; the 18 levels of hell; vengeful ghosts seeking retribution... These novels place too much emphasis on people's fear of death. In fact, I don't think death is scary. What we should fear is our ignorance of death and the soul. So I wanted to write a supernatural
