Researching L2 Task Performance and Pedagogy

This chapter examines relations between Peter Skehan’s task-based analysis of second language production (Skehan, 1998) and the Competition Model (MacWhinney, 2012, 2015b). Both of these approaches have a long history of development. However, until recently, there has been little interaction between these two perspectives.
