This paper focuses on nominalizations within Tupí-Guaraní, a sub-group of the Tupí linguistic family. For this purpose, we first analyze two very conservative Tupí-Guaraní languages, Tupinambá and Apyãwa (Tapirapé), and then compare them with a very innovative Tupí-Guaraní language, Nheengatú (língua geral).
