Loretta Creech was born in Hazard Kentucky, a small town in the center of Eastern Kentucky. "I love the people of Eastern Kentucky and can honestly say I am proud to be a hillbilly." She now lives in Lexington Kentucky where she has lived since leaving Eastern Kentucky University in 1972 where she met and married a boy from the central Kentucky region.
