Mariticide Club - Wives Who Kill is dedicated to my father's starter wife Helen Grace Byrd who shot my father. When I met Helen in Dallas in 1948 I took the opportunity to thank her for making my life possible. If she had not shot my father in the chest with her .25 caliber Beretta pistol and then burned down his residence, never would he have escaped her, then met, romanced and married my mother who then brought me into the world I enjoy so much.
