Life Lessons from 2 Samuel

It wasn't an easy path for David to become king over Israel. God had personally selected him for the role at a young age and given him the strength and courage to defeat the Philistine giant named Goliath. However, David's popularity that resulted from this triumph made the current king, Saul, paranoid that he would lose the throne. He made attacks against David's life, forcing the younger man to flee into the wilderness and even hide out in enemy territory. Saul was ultimately killed in battle,
