Sheila Craig Waengler is the daughter of James H. Craig, architect, and Grace Morris Craig, artist and author, and widow of Ernst G. Waengler, writer and foreign correspondent for the Neue Zurcher Zeitung. Sheila grew up in Toronto's Lawrence Park neighbourhood during the Depression. Life wasn't always easy, but she still managed to have many childhood adventures in and out of the city.
