Data Mining VIII

During this last year we have witnessed the growth of the European Union's interest for data mining, especially when applied to unstructured data (eg. text mining). This is the proof that data mining is surely seen not only as an exciting research area but also as a technology that may solve current European citizens' delicate problems such as security. But the interest and appreciation of the European Union is also shown through the 2007 European ICT Prize that this year has been awarded for th
