Born to Fight , first published in 1946, is an easy-to-read account of the life of Admiral William 'Bill' or 'Bull' Halsey, from his childhood through the surrender of the Japanese aboard his flagship, the USS Missouri, on September 2, 1945 (Halsey passed away in 1959).
